Also known as Arborvitae or Morpankhi, the Thuja plant looks very similar to the Juniper plant but is much hardy. Narrow-growing, upright thuja is used for ornamental purposes and also as a hedge plant. Very fine-textured, green to cream-green foliage on orange-brown stems. This plant is heat-tolerant and has an excellent vertical accent plant for small spaces or mixed borders. The leaves are scale-like 1 to 10 mm long.
