Potting- It is one of the easiest plants to maintain indoors or outdoors under a shade. If in a pot, the pot should have a proper drainage system. If wrapped around a wooden or plastic pole, husk can be used. As it grows up, stems should be tied up till it reaches the top progressively. Trim by cutting away dead or overgrown branches or stems of the money plant. If planted as indoor in a glass jar or bottle then fill the bottle more than half and plant it. If planted in a pot then ensure sandy, peat-moss-based soil and a pot with good drainage. If you are planting it in soil then make a hole in the soil and plant it.

Watering Requirement – If planted in the soil give time to soil to dry and then water. Do not water excessively as this will damage roots. Water once every 1 - 2 days in summer and 4 -5 days in winter. If planted in water then change the water every 10 days. It prospers in the rainy season, drought, and any sort of watery condition (hydroponically) or dry condition.

Light Requirement – Indirect sunlight is the best for plant growth. It can be grown indoors as well as outdoors. It also prospers under artificial light. The plant prefers a warm temperature between 150-300 Celsius. Well-lit places where it receives filtered sunlight is a good spot for Money plants. In case the sunlight is less, the stems elongate and the spread may be more, and will also start looking lanky.

Propagation – It is one of the easiest plants to propagate. Propagation is through cuttings. Every leaf has got its own stem and aerial root system. The stem should be cut below the node in a slightly angular fashion with a single leaf and planted in moist soil. The best season for using cuttings is either summer or spring.

Fertilization - Minimal - Liquid, Solid, Organic. Money Plant can use almost any type of common fertilizer, from pellets to liquid. Ideally should be nitrate based. A weak solution of liquid fertilizer can be added into the water while pellet is added to the soil. It can prosper without fertilization but it is better to fertilize twice a year. Do not add fertilizers just after trimming. Always add fertilizers in shade or in the evening. Do not add liquid fertilizer in sunlight, as it can burn leaves.
